Nomad Scholars is an Australian-owned homeschool education platform based in Queensland, Australia. We provide curriculum-aligned daily lessons for Prep–Year 12 students registered for home education. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Nomad Scholars is designed for home-educated students in Prep–Year 12 (approximately 12–18 years of age). Accounts must be created by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over. By registering, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the student and that you accept these terms on behalf of your family. Students cannot register independently.
We offer a 7-day free trial for new accounts. No payment is required to start your trial. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically begin unless you cancel before the trial expires. You will not be charged if you cancel during the trial period. One free trial is permitted per family.
Nomad Scholars is offered on a weekly subscription basis at the current published rate. Subscriptions are billed weekly in advance via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each week until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Pricing may change from time to time. We will provide at least 14 days notice of any price increase via email.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@nomadscholars.com.au. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
Nomad Scholars is provided for lawful home education purposes only. You agree not to share account access with anyone outside your immediate family, resell, redistribute or reproduce any curriculum content, attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape or extract platform content, use the platform in any way that could harm other users or the service, or use the Compass AI assistant for any purpose unrelated to education. Breach of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.
Nomad Scholars includes an AI-powered learning assistant called Compass, powered by Anthropic's Claude. Compass is provided as an educational support tool and should not be treated as a substitute for qualified educational or professional advice. Compass responses are generated by AI and may occasionally contain errors. Parents are encouraged to review AI interactions with their student. We do not guarantee the accuracy of Compass responses. No student data is used to train AI models.
All curriculum content on the Nomad Scholars platform is owned by Nomad Scholars and protected by Australian copyright law. Content is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial home education use only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish or create derivative works from any platform content without our written permission. Our curriculum is designed to support Australian home education registration requirements but we make no guarantee that use of our platform will satisfy registration requirements in your state or territory. Registration obligations remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
All content, design, code, curriculum, branding and materials on the Nomad Scholars platform are the intellectual property of Nomad Scholars. The Nomad Scholars name, logo and associated marks are proprietary. Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. Your feedback and suggestions about the platform may be used by us to improve the service without obligation or compensation to you.
Nomad Scholars provides the platform on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, relating to the platform and its content. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of educational progress, or interruption to service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
We aim to keep Nomad Scholars available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates or experience outages outside our control. We will endeavour to provide notice of planned downtime where possible. We are not liable for any loss caused by service unavailability.
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at nomadscholars.com.au/privacy. By using the platform you consent to our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not accept the updated terms, you must cancel your subscription before they take effect.
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the platform. If we discontinue the platform, we will provide at least 30 days notice and a pro-rata refund of any prepaid subscription fees.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
